What is the aim of the workshop?

The aim of the workshop is to offer and to transfer information as a collection of and the basic principles of pranks, hoaxes and buffoonery in the revolutionary left from about the 60s to nowadays mainly in Germany. It shows theory and aims of such fun guerrilla actions in the according political environment, and could provide a wide range of ideas for possible personal usage. Hopefully, the audience will contribute about their experiences and examples they came across in Britain and beyond and we could discuss about the differences, difficulties and effectively of such actions.

How will the workshop be organised?

As I have not got much experiences with workshops up to now, I hope the audience helps me and becomes involved as much as possible to ensure that the workshop is much fun and comfortable to everyone. This includes the use of group tools like brainstorm, wall agendas, discussion going round, working in small groups etc. and evaluation at the end.

There are some video examples to show to the group.

How long will the workshop take?

The workshop has no time limit up to now, but it is expected, that it would not take longer than an hour, and it could be even less, if we are running out of ideas, or are just a small number of participants. As the workshop should be interactive, it should be easy to follow the discussion and to participate even if being late. As usual, people are free to leave at any time.

What will be the content of the workshop?

The workshop is focusing on fun guerrilla in the revolutionary left, mainly in Germany and starting in 1968 with some gaps to today. It will be dividing fun actions into their structural organisation and the aims wanted to achieve, and discussing about the effectively, the influence and consequences of pranks, hoaxes and buffoonery. The contents of the workshop should be flexible to what participants expect from the workshop and want to do. There should be some time left to discuss together utopian pranks, hoaxes and buffoonery.

What do I need to participate at the workshop?

Basically, there are no requirements to take part, but it would be fine, if you had came across articles, pictures, video recordings, etc. about pranks, hoaxes and buffoonery and other stuff you would regard as being funny about the revolution, then please bring it along to the benefits of all participants.
